Chelsea leading the race to sign Brazil midfielder – report
Chelsea are being linked with a move for Lazio star Felipe Anderson, according to Gazzetta World
Chelsea have emerged as favourites to sign Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson, according to reports in Italy.
Gazzetta World claims that the 2015 Premier League champions are leading the race to sign the Brazilian playmaker in the summer transfer window.
The Italian media outlet added that Serie A giants Lazio are willing to sell the 23-year-old Lazio star for the right price.
Anderson scored nine times in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Rome outfit last term.
Chelsea have been linked with a number of attacking players in the summer transfer window, although the Blues did snap up Belgium international Michy Batshuayi in a transfer from Ligue 1 side Marseille.
The west London side appointed Antonio Conte as their new permanent manager earlier this year after Guus Hiddink replaced axed Jose Mourinho on an interim basis.
The new Chelsea manager has an in-depth knowledge of Serie A after managing Juventus for four season before taking over the reins of the Italian national team.
The Blues finished in tenth place in the Premier League table after a disappointing defence of their top-flight campaign.
