Chelsea quoted huge asking price for Belgium striker – report

Everton want in the region of £75m for Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Italy

Chelsea will have to pay in the region of £75m (€90m) for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport are claiming that Everton are under no pressure to sell their star asset in the summer transfer window amid interest from the striker’s former employers.

The same report states that Lukaku remains a top target for Antonio Conte despite the former Juventus manager signing the Everton star’s compatriot Michy Batshuayi already this month.

The Belgium forward completed a £34m switch from Ligue 1 side Marseille after weeks of speculation linking the 22-year-old centre-forward with a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Italian has also completed a £30m deal for Leicester City’s title-winning midfielder N’Golo Kante as Conte looks to improve his squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

The Blues will take on West Ham United in their first game of the new Premier League season on 15 August.
