David De Gea: What I really think about Man United boss Jose Mourinho

David De Gea has been impressed by what he has seen of Jose Mourinho as Manchester United boss

David De Gea has admitted that he has been very impressed by the start to life at Manchester United under new manager Jose Mourinho.

The Spanish shot-stopper joined up with his team-mates in China earlier this month as he began his preparations for the new campaign following his involvement in Euro 2016 with his country.

Mourinho is currently gearing up for his first season in charge at Old Trafford after being appointed as the club’s new manager back in May.

The Portuguese coach has been tasked with steering United back to the top of English football after their disappointing fifth-placed finish last season.

And goalkeeper De Gea says he has been impressed by his first taste of life under Mourinho at United in recent days.

Speaking in an interview with MUTV, De Gea said: “There’s a really good atmosphere in this team – there are some young lads and it’s very good to be here.

“We have a really good manager and he’s a winner – that’s what we feel. So now we want to start the season with a win.”
