Dietmar Hamann delivers verdict on new Liverpool signing
Dietmar Hamann was pleased to see Liverpool sign Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle United last week
Dietmar Hamann has taken to social media to give his nod of approval to Liverpool’s signing of Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle United this summer.
The Reds completed their seventh signing of the summer transfer window on Friday as they completed a deal to bring the Dutch midfielder to Anfield from St James’ Park.
Jurgen Klopp has been a busy man in the summer transfer window as he prepares for his first full season in charge at Anfield.
The German coach had already signed Loris Karius, Joel Matip, Marko Grujic, Sadio Mane, Ragnar Klavan and Alex Manninger before Friday’s deal to land Wijnaldum was completed.
And former Liverpool midfielder Hamann admits that he was pleased to see the Reds move to bring in the Netherlands international.
Responding to a fan’s question on Twitter, Hamann tweeted:

Me neither, think it's a great signing. Need some pace and power going forward, been to one dimensional last season https://t.co/yAeQ8AQipz
