Eden Hazard: What I really think about new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte
Eden Hazard gives his first impressions about life under Antonio Conte at Chelsea
Eden Hazard says he has been impressed by his first taste of working under new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
The Belgian playmaker is currently getting used to life under the club’s new boss after he returned to report for duty with the Blues in recent days following his extended summer holiday.
Conte was appointed as the club’s new manager earlier this year after the Blues’ terrible campaign result in the sacking of Jose Mourinho and a 10th-placed finish in the Premier League.
Hazard will be looking to bounce back from his and Chelsea’s disappointing campaign with a much improved showing in the 2016-17 season.
And the former Lille star says that he has been very impressed by his first few days of training under Conte during the club’s pre-season tour of America.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea’s website, Hazard said: “It is hard training but we have to be ready for the season.
“It is good. The manager talks a lot with the players, we are here to prepare tactically and we have some games to play. I hope we will see after 10 days what we need to have.
“It is completely different from last summer. After the Euros we didn’t get a lot of holiday and we are not ready yet but we are almost ready and we can’t wait for the season to start.
“We need to show to everybody that we are Chelsea, we are big players and a big team.”
Chelsea missed out on a spot in Europe next season after their 10th-placed finish in the Premier League.
