Eden Hazard’s brother delivers latest update on his Chelsea future
Eden Hazard has no plans to leave Chelsea this summer, according to his brother
Eden Hazard will stay at Chelsea beyond the summer and is determined to fight for his place under new manager Antonio Conte, according to his brother Kylian.
The Belgian playmaker – like many of his club team-mates – endured a season to forget last term as the west London club’s disastrous start to the campaign left their title defence in tatters.
Their poor form led to Jose Mourinho’s sacking back in December and much of the Chelsea squad were criticised for their stuttering form.
Hazard struggled for form and fitness throughout the campaign and was relentlessly linked with a possible summer transfer away from Stamford Bridge.
However, the 25-year-old appears determined to stay at the west London club and fight for his place as he prepares to welcome Conte as his new manager.
Speaking to Goal, Hazard’s brother Kylian said: “He will stay at Chelsea, he is happy at Chelsea. He loves London. It is good for him there and he says the facilities are great.
“It is one of the biggest teams in the world. He will be special again for them next year.”
Conte is due to officially take charge at Chelsea next week after his involvement in Euro 2016 with Italy came to an end.
The Italian was appointed as Guus Hiddink’s permanent successor last season.
