Fresh twist in Man United’s pursuit of Paul Pogba – report
Juventus want to tie down Paul Pogba to a new contract this summer, according to the player's agent
Juventus are keen to tie Paul Pogba down to a new contract to ward off interest from Manchester United, according to the player’s agent Mino Raiola.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a transfer to Old Trafford in recent days as Jose Mourinho searches for his fourth signing since his appointment as Manchester United’s new manager.
The France international has developed into one of Europe’s most promising talents since being allowed to join to Juventus by United back in the summer of 2012.
The Red Devils are thought to be keen on bringing him back to the club in a big-money deal this summer – but Pogba’s agent Raiola insists that his client is in no rush to leave the Serie A club.
Indeed, Raiola says that the Italian club are keen to get Pogba to sign a new contract with the Serie A champions.
Raiola is quoted as saying by Metro: “He is in no rush to leave, and Juventus do not want him to go.
“They want him to renew his contract.”
United finished in fifth place in the Premier League last season as they missed out on Champions League qualification.
