The 53-year-old was officially unveiled as the club’s new manager on Tuesday as he was paraded in front of the media at Old Trafford following his appointment on a three-year contract.
Mourinho takes charge at United after a disastrous end to his spell in charge of Chelsea, which led to his sacking by the west London club back in December.
However, speaking at the news conference, Mourinho insisted that he was at the club where he wanted to be, and aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Arsenal boss Wenger by claiming that there are some managers that have not won a title in more than 10 years.
Arsenal last won the Premier League title under Wenger back in the 2003-04 campaign.
And former England star Lineker branded Mourinho with a new three-word nickname after his comment during the news conference.
He tweeted:
Mourinho: "There are some managers that the last time they won a title was 10 years ago. I won a title a year ago."
