Gary Neville makes cheeky claim about Man United and Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Gary Neville jokes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could make his Manchester United debut for their reserves
Gary Neville has cheekily claimed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could make his Manchester United debut for the reserves – and not the club’s senior side.
The former Sweden international completed a move to the Red Devils earlier this month after weeks of speculation linking Ibrahimovic with a move to Old Trafford.
The 34-year-old is still making the most of his summer break ahead of his first Premier League campaign after a demanding but ultimately disappointing Euro 2016 campaign.
Former United defender Neville has cheekily suggested that Ibrahimovic’s first game could be against his own Salford City side on Tuesday 26 July.

Ibrahimovic is one of three new United signings in the summer transfer window following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as manager in May.
The Red Devils boss has signed Eric Bailly from La Liga side Villarreal, secured Ibrahimovic on a free transfer before completing a big-money deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
United finished in fifth place in the Premier League table which led to Louis van Gaal’s sacking in May despite winning the FA Cup thanks to an extra-time win over Crystal Palace.
