Guillem Balague delivers latest update on Paul Pogba’s move to Man United
Guillem Balague says Paul Pogba is heading to Manchester United this summer
Paul Pogba is heading to Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a bid to bring the French midfielder back to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho searches for his fourth summer signing at United.
Pogba is thought to be the Red Devils’s next top transfer target this summer as Mourinho bids to add some world-class quality to his midfield at Old Trafford.
The France international has also been touted as a possible target for Real Madrid in recent weeks.
However, Spanish football expert Balague says that the Spanish club have been priced out of a move by United, who are prepared to break the world transfer record to land the player.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Balague said: “Zinedine Zidane and Pogba have spoken for months now, but Manchester United will pay more money to Juventus. €100m and €25m to his agent. And he’s going to get between €13m and €15m and more with bonuses a year.
“Real Madrid have basically abandoned the option for him. So I think he’s Manchester United bound. Did he want to go to Manchester United and play in the Europa League at Old Trafford? I don’t know…”
Pogba left United to join Juventus back in the summer of 2012.
United have so far signed defender Eric Bailly, striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan so far this summer following his appointment as the club’s new manager.
