Harry Redknapp makes bold prediction about Tottenham and Hugo Lloris
Harry Redknapp is confident that Hugo Lloris will remain a Tottenham Hotspur player
Harry Redknapp is confident that Tottenham Hotspur will manage to keep hold of France number one Hugo Lloris beyond the end of the summer transfer window.
The Spurs goalkeeper has been in excellent form for Didier Deschamps’s les Bleus side as the Euro 2016 hosts reached the final on Thursday night courtesy of a 2-0 victory over world champions Germany.
Lloris has been a mainstay of the Tottenham side over the past four seasons following his £10m move to the north London outfit from Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2012.
The French shot stopper’s performances at the European championship have led to speculation that the 29-year-old could be a target for Champions League holders Real Madrid.
However, former Spurs manager Redknapp believes Tottenham should be able to keep the French goalkeeper beyond the summer transfer window despite recent transfer speculation.
“I’m sure they’ll keep him, he’s at a big club, Tottenham’s Champions League. He’s so well regarded at Tottenham, he’s a fantastic goal keeper. He’s been a great signing for Spurs, he looks a real professional,” Redknapp told BetSafe.
Lloris has made 168 appearances in all competitions for the White Hart Lane over the past four seasons in north London.
The Spurs number one is yet to win a trophy at Tottenham after Mauricio Pochettino’s side finished in third place last term.
