Insider delivers latest update on Chelsea’s search for third signing
Chelsea have tabled a bid to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli, says Emanuele Giulianelli
Chelsea have tabled a €45m (£37.9m) bid to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli this summer, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The Blues have been linked with a host of players since Antonio Conte’s arrival at the club this summer but have thus far only signed striker Michy Batshuayi and midfielder N’Golo Kante.
Chelsea are thought to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements as Conte prepares for his first season in charge in the Premier League.
Now, Italian reporter Giulianelli is claiming that the Blues have officially tabled a big-money bid for the 25-year-old Senegal defender – but that Napoli are yet to make a decision about his future.

Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League table last season as their disastrous campaign led to Jose Mourinho’s sacking back in December.
The Blues are currently getting to grips with life under Conte following the Italian’s appointment as Mourinho’s permanent successor earlier this year.
