Insider delivers latest update on Gonzalo Higuain’s link to Arsenal
Arsenal are interested in signing Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli, according to Emanuele Giulianelli
Gonzalo Higuain has agreed personal terms with Arsenal for a move to The Emirates this summer – but the Gunners are yet to submit an official bid to Napoli, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The Gunners have been linked with a host of players during the summer transfer window as Arsene Wenger bids to revamp his squad ahead of the new season.
However, despite all of the speculation, Arsenal have thus far only signed midfielder Granit Xhaka and striker Takuma Asano this summer.
Wenger has already signalled his intention to bolster his attacking options this summer with the club’s failed bid to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City.
Argentina striker Higuain has been linked with a transfer to Arsenal in the past, and Italian reporter Giulianelli says that a move could be on the cards this summer.
However, he goes on to say that Napoli would seek a cash-only deal from the Gunners.
Giulianelli tweeted:
Many of you are asking me about Higuain and Arsenal. Important updates soon. #AFC
