Arsenal have made contact with Inter Milan about the possibility of signing defender Jeison Murillo in the summer transfer window, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The north London side have been linked with a host of players this summer but have thus far only brought in midfielder Granit Xhaka and striker Takuma Asano.
Arsene Wenger is thought to be on the lookout for a new defender this summer as he looks to assemble as strong a squad as possible ahead of next season.
Now, Italian reporter Giulianelli – writing in his column for Tribal Football – is claiming that the Gunners have made contact with Inter about the possibility of signing the Colombian defender.
The 24-year-old central defender scored two goals and made one assist in 34 Serie A appearances for Inter last season.
Wenger is thought to be on the lookout for further reinforcements this summer as he bids to improve his side ahead of next season.
The Gunners ended up in second place in the Premier League table last season, 10 points behind champions Leicester City.
