Italy star wants to join Antonio Conte at Chelsea, reveals agent
Emanuele Giaccherini is keen on a move to Chelsea this summer, according to the player's agent
Emanuele Giaccherini is dreaming of a transfer to Chelsea to link up with Antonio Conte, according to the player’s agent.
The west London club completed their first signing of the summer transfer window and Conte’s reign on Sunday by securing the services of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille on a five-year contract.
Conte is set to officially begin work at Stamford Bridge on Monday as he gears up for his first taste of Premier League management.
Thirty-one-year-old Italy international Giaccherini spent last season on loan to Bologna from Sunderland.
Now, the player’s agent has claimed that his client is dreaming of a transfer to Chelsea this summer as he looks to sort out his future ahead of next season.
Agent Furio Valcareggi told Gazzetta World: “Do we have an agreement with the Granata [Torino]? Not at this time.
“There has been contact made and there is interest.
“Torino inquired about the costs and requirements of a possible deal, now we are both reflecting. But it is the same for Fiorentina and Bologna, who are assessing the situation before moving forward. Chelsea remain a dream.”
Conte has been tasked with guiding Chelsea back to the top of English football after their disastrous season last term left them 10th in the Premier League and caused them to miss out on a place in Europe next term.
