Ji-sung Park comments on new Man United signing

Ji-sung Park is backing striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be a big hit at Manchester United next season

Ji-sung Park believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic can lead by example for Manchester United next season.

The Swedish striker became the Red Devils’ second signing of the summer transfer window earlier this month as Jose Mourinho moved quickly to recruit the veteran forward.

Ibrahimovic, 34, joined United on a free transfer after he was released by Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.

The striker is now gearing up for his first taste of Premier League football as he bids to help United restore themselves to the top of the English game.

And former United star Park is confident that the veteran striker will be a success in his first campaign at the club.

Speaking in an interview with United’s website, Park said: “I think the club needs a big character like him.

“He has a lot of experience and then he can show his character in the dressing room and on the pitch. He can influence the players and particularly the young players.

“They can learn a lot from him and then show it on the pitch.”

Mourinho was appointed as the club’s new manager back in May after the Red Devils opted to sack Louis van Gaal at the end of last season, just days after the Dutchman led them to FA Cup glory.
