Jose Mourinho makes frank admission about Man United players
Jose Mourinho has been impressed by the professionalism of his Manchester United players in recent weeks
Jose Mourinho has admitted that he has been impressed by his Manchester United player’s professionalism since arriving at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils squad headed back to the UK from their tour of China and landed on Tuesday morning after the 11-hour flight.
However, despite heading straight home, Mourinho’s men trained at Carrington between 6:30 BST and 8:30 BST immediately after touching down in the UK.
And the Portuguese coach admits that he has been thoroughly impressed by the attitude of his players since his arrival at the club.
Speaking in an interview with MUTV on Tuesday, Mourinho said: “They are a great group of boys and the intensity of the session shows they are very professional in their outlook.”
Mourinho has been tasked with restoring United back to the top of English football after the disappointment of their fifth-placed finish in the Premier League last season.
The club moved quickly to appoint him as the club’s new manager following their decision to sack Louis van Gaal at the end of last season, with Mourinho signing a three-year contract with the Red Devils.
