Jose Mourinho to sell these two Man United players – report
Tyler Blackett and Guillermo Varela are set to be sold by Manchester United this summer, say reports
Manchester United will sell Tyler Blackett and Guillermo Varela this summer after the pair were deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by Jose Mourinho, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports News HQ is reporting that neither Blackett nor Varela are currently training with the United first-team squad at Carrington after the commencement of the club’s pre-season preparations last week.
The report goes on to say that defender Blackett and Varela are set to be offloaded by Mourinho in the summer transfer window.
The story, however, claims that the newly-appointed United boss still wants to promote young players in his team and has identified Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah as better options moving forwards.
The article says that both Tuanzebe and Fosu-Mensah will be given chances to impress by Mourinho next season.
The 53-year-old is currently in the process of revamping his squad at Old Trafford following his appointment as the club’s new manager back in May.
