Jose Mourinho wants £22m star to be next Man United signing – report

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign Monaco right-back Fabinho in a £22m transfer deal this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that the Portuguese coach has identified the Brazilian defender as his next transfer target as Mourinho prepares for his first season as United manager.

The same report suggests that the deal could be made easier because the right-back has the same agent – Jorge Mendes – as the Red Devils manager.

The story goes on to say that Fabinho is keen to test himself in the Premier League and United are in the market for a new right-back this summer.

The report goes on to claim that playmaker Juan Mata could be offloaded by Mourinho in the summer transfer window, with Espanyol said to be pondering a £37m deal to sign the Spaniard.
