Jurgen Klopp delivers verdict on new Liverpool signing
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp describes new signing Sadio Mane as a really nice guy
Jurgen Klopp expressed his satisfaction with Sadio Mane’s first Liverpool performance after Friday night’s 1-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers.
The Senegal international started his first Reds game in the Merseyside outfit’s pre-season friendly against their local rivals after his big-money move from Southampton earlier this month.

Mane put pen to paper on a five-year deal after becoming Klopp’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window after the arrivals of Marko Grujic, Joel Matip and Loris Karius.
The African forward, who scored 21 goals in 67 Premier League appearances for the Saints during two seasons at St Mary’s, impressed for Klopp’s side against Tranmere.
And Klopp, who signed a new six-year contract with the 18-time English champions, delivered his verdict on the 24-year-old’s performance in the 1-0 victory over Rovers.
“I was quite satisfied. He had an exciting week or 10 days,” Klopp told Liverpool’s website.
“He trained a lot in his break, did what he had to do and now he is here. He is a very, very nice guy and a good football player. Everybody could see in the first half, with really tired legs he really played a good game.
“He could have scored, could have done one or the other thing a little bit better, but he was fine.”
Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table at the end of his first eight months in charge at Anfield.
