Juventus star wants to become Conte’s next Chelsea signing – report

Leonardo Bonucci is keen on a transfer to Chelsea this summer, according to reports

Leonardo Bonucci wants to follow Antonio Conte to Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun is reporting that the Juventus defender is keen to secure a transfer to the west London club as Conte bids to bolster his rearguard options ahead of next season.

The same newspaper story says that any deal would be likely to set Chelsea back a transfer fee of around £38m.

The report also claims that Bonucci has been a target for Manchester City this summer but that the defender would prefer a move to Chelsea.

Conte is set to officially take over at Stamford Bridge next week after he was appointed as the west London club’s new manager following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

The Blues have been linked with a host of players in the summer transfer window but have thus far only wrapped up a deal to sign Michy Batshuayi from Marseille on a five-year contract.
