Kurt Zouma comments on ‘unbelievable’ new Chelsea signing

Kurt Zouma is expecting big things from N'Golo Kante at Chelsea next season

Kurt Zouma is backing N’Golo Kante to prove himself as a top quality signing at Chelsea next season.

The France midfielder became Chelsea’s second signing of the summer transfer window earlier this month as Antonio Conte moved quickly to bolster his new squad at Stamford Bridge.

Kante earned plenty of new admirers last season as his impressive displays in central midfield helped to inspire Leicester City to the Premier League title.

And Kante’s compatriot Zouma is fully expecting to see the midfielder help to take Chelsea to the next level under Conte next season.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Zouma said: “Kante will bring a lot to the team.

“We saw him in the Premier League last season with Leicester and he was unbelievable.

“He runs all over the pitch, makes lots of tackles and interceptions and he’s very effective with and without the ball.

“The midfield area, like the attack, is full of competition and that’s really good for the whole team.”

Chelsea moved quickly to appoint former Juventus and Italy coach Conte as the club’s new manager earlier this year after the sacking of Jose Mourinho back in December.
