Liverpool launch £12.8m bid for Klopp’s next signing – report

Liverpool are interested in Croatian teenager Ante Coric this summer, say reports

Liverpool are leading the race to sign Croatian teenager Ante Coric and have made a £12.8m bid, according to reports.

Croatian media outlet Tportal is claiming that Liverpool are in the chase to secure the services of the 19-year-old midfielder in the summer transfer window.

The Dinamo Zagreb teenager was in his country’s squad at Euro 2016 but did not make an appearance during the tournament in France.

Now, it appears that the starlet is attracting interest from the Premier League, with Klopp reportedly keen to bring him to Anfield this summer.

Coric scored four goals in 28 league appearances for Zagreb last season.

The German coach is currently preparing for his first full season in charge at Anfield following his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor back in October.

The Reds endured a disappointing campaign last term as they ended up in eighth place in the Premier League table and missed out on a place in Europe next season.
