Liverpool make enquiries over Schalke striker – report

Liverpool are interested in Schalke forward Max Meyer, according to reports in Germany

Jurgen Klopp has enquiried to the availability of Schalke forward Max Meyer, according to reports in Germany.

Bild are claiming that the Liverpool manager is interested in the Germany international as Klopp looks to strengthen his squad further in the summer transfer window.

The German media outlet are stating that the former Borussia Dortmund manager has reignited his interest in the 20-year-old forward in the summer transfer window.

Klopp has already added seven new players to his squad this summer as the Liverpool manager looks to mould his squad into top-four contenders in the 2016/17 season.

Germany Under-21 international Loris Karius completed a move to Liverpool from Bundesliga side Mainz in May as he became Klopp’s first signing of the summer.

Liverpool sealed a deal for Senegal and Southampton forward Sadio Mane earlier this month before Estonia captain Ragnar Klavan completed a switch to the Reds from Augsburg.

The Reds have also signed Alex Manninger and Georginio Wijnaldum.
