Liverpool set to miss out on Barcelona winger – report
Cristian Tello will opt for a move to Fiorentina ahead of Premier League, according to reports in Italy
Liverpool are set to be disappointed in the race to sign Cristian Tello as the Barcelona winger looks set to return to Fiorentina this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Gazzetta World are reporting that Tello is favouring a move to Florence ahead of a switch to the Premier League with the article stating that Liverpool and Swansea City are interested.
The Spain international has failed to win a regular starting spot under current Barcelona manager Luis Enrique and the 24-year-old has been gaining experience on loan in recent seasons.
Tello moved to Porto on loan in the 2014/15 season and half of the 2015/16 campaign before completing a temporary switch to Serie A side Fiorentina in January.
The Spain international scored one goal in four appearances for La Viola before he returned to the Catalan side at the end of the season.
Liverpool have been linked with a host of players in the summer transfer window, although Jurgen Klopp has only signed Germany Under-21 international Loris Karius and Senegal forward Sadio Mane thus far.
The Reds have also added Marko Grujic and Loris Karius to their squad after agreeing to deals for the pair earlier this year.
