Liverpool suffer blow as Udinese set price tag for Poland star – report
Udinese want at least £17m (€20m) for Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski, according to reports in Italy
Liverpool will have to pay £17m (€20m) to sign Poland and Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski, according to reports in Italy.
Gazzetta dello Sport are claiming that Serie A giants AC Milan are ready to rival Liverpool for the midfielder’s signature.
The Italian media outlet added that Udinese want a minimum of £17m (€20m) for the Poland international.
Zielinski has spent the last two seasons on loan at Empoli and has netted six times in 65 Serie A appearances.
The Udinese midfielder has only made 19 appearances for his parent club in two seasons at the Zebrette.
Klopp has already added four new players to his squad this summer as Liverpool look to improve on last season’s eighth-place finish.
Loris Karius moved to Liverpool in a £4.7m deal from Bundesliga side Mainz before the Reds snapped up Sadio Mane in a £30m transfer from Southampton.
Marko Grujic and Joel Matip have also linked up with the Merseyside outfit after agreeing deals to move to Anfield earlier this year.
Liverpool lost 3-1 to Sevilla in the Europa League final in their final game of the 2015/16 season.
