Man United chase £84m midfielder as Mourinho’s next signing – report
Manchester United would have to shell out £84m to re-sign Paul Pogba this summer, according to reports
Manchester United could be set to sign Paul Pogba this summer – but only if his first-choice move to Real Madrid does not happen and the Red Devils meet his wage demands of £250,000 a week, according to reports in the British media.
The Guardian is reporting that Real Madrid are currently leading the chase to sign the France international because the Spanish club is the midfielder’s preferred destination this summer.
The same newspaper story goes on to say that United’s hopes of re-signing the player this summer rest on the Red Devils outbidding Madrid and meeting the midfielder’s wage demands of £250,000 a week.
The story goes on to say that both Real Madrid or United would have to meet Juventus’ asking price of £84m to sign the France international this summer.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a move back to Old Trafford since his departure from the club back in the summer of 2012.
The midfielder was deemed surplus to requirements at the club by then manager Sir Alex Ferguson, but has since developed into one of Europe’s top talents.
