Manchester United are in talks to sign Hirving Lozano in the summer transfer window, the player’s club Pachuca have confirmed.
Lozano has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months as the Premier League outfit look to bolster their attacking options.
Now, Pachuca president Andres Fassi has revealed that negotiations between United and the Mexican club are on ongoing – but that a deal has not yet been agreed.
Fassi told ESPN Digital, as quoted by Metro: “Already there is negotiations with that team [United]? Yes.
“There is still nothing closed though.”
Lozano has scored 33 goals in 122 games for the Mexican outfit since making his debut two years ago.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as Jose Mourinho prepares for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.
United have already secured the services of defender Eric Bailly and veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Mourinho sets about revamping his squad ahead of next season.
The Red Devils finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season.
