Man United ponder bid to make Liverpool star Mourinho’s next signing – report

Manchester United are pondering making a surprise bid to sign Joe Allen from Liverpool this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The South Wales Evening Post is reporting that the Red Devils are considering making a move to sign the Wales international midfielder this summer as new manager Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

The same report claims that Swansea City are currently leading the chase for Allen’s signature as his future at Liverpool remains unclear.

However, the report also stats that with the futures of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Marouanne Fellaini all unclear at United, the Red Devils could be ready to make a move for Allen.

The same story also goes on to say that West Ham and Stoke City have also been linked with moves for Allen.

Mourinho is currently in the process of revamping his United squad after his appointment as the club’s new manager back in May.
