Man United star determined to prove point to Jose Mourinho – report
Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin will snub Everton interest, according to reports
Morgan Schneiderlin is determined to fight for his place at Manchester United despite interest from Everton, according to reports in France.
The Red Devils midfielder has endured a tough first season at Old Trafford after Schneiderlin completed a £25m switch to United from Southampton under Louis van Gaal last summer.
The France midfielder is one of the United players that is facing an uncertain future under the Dutchman’s successor Jose Mourinho, who was appointed as United manager last month.
New Everton boss Ronald Koeman is thought, according to De Telegraaf, to be keen to sign the 28-year-old this summer as the Dutchman attempts to rebuild his Toffees squad.
However, according to l’Equipe – as reported by talkSPORT – Schneiderlin doesn’t want to leave United in the summer transfer window and will snub interest from Everton to fight for his first-team place at Old Trafford.
Mourinho is currently gearing up for his first season in charge at Old Trafford after being appointed as the club’s new manager on a three-year contract last month.
The French midfielder scored one goal in 29 Premier League appearances in his first season as a United player.
