Man United’s next summer transfer priority revealed – report

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants to sign an experienced defender this summer, say reports

Jose Mourinho wants to bring in an experienced centre-half as his next Manchester United signing, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Record is claiming that Mourinho is now intent on adding some experience to his rearguard options as he gears up for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.

The same story says that United chief Ed Woodward is not convinced that the Red Devils need to sign another defender in the current transfer window but Mourinho feels that he is in need of some further cover in that position.

United have been linked with a host of players during the summer transfer window but have thus far only signed Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Red Devils are believed to be on the lookout for further signings as Mourinho prepares for his first Premier League campaign in charge of United.
