Photo: Memphis Depay sends heartfelt message to Man United star

Memphis Depay has taken to social media to reveal his delight at seeing Luke Shaw back in action for Manchester United.

The England international missed most of last season after suffering a horrific broken leg during the Red Devils’ clash with PSV Eindhoven back in September.

Shaw has been working hard on his rehabilitation in recent weeks and has been training with his team-mates under new manager Jose Mourinho at Carrington.

And Depay snapped a picture with Shaw on the team bus as Mourinho’s men travelled to Wigan for their first pre-season friendly.

Depay posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account as United prepared for the pre-season game and wrote: “We back at it! After 10 months @lukeshaw23 is ready to play the first friendly match against Wigan Athletic. #M7 #LS23.”

Mourinho has been selected as the man to guide United back to the top of English football after their disappointing fifth-placed finish in the Premier League last season.
