Henrikh Mkhitaryan insists that he does not mind which position he ends up playing for Manchester United next season.
The 27-year-old made his first appearance as a United player on Saturday as he helped the Red Devils record a 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium in what was Jose Mourinho’s first official game in charge of the club.
Mkhitaryan joined the Red Devils from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the summer to become Mourinho’s third signing of the current transfer window.
There have been plenty of suggestions about where Mourinho could end up deploying Mkhitaryan next season.
However, the playmaker insists that he doesn’t care where he ends up playing as long as he can help his new team-mates.
Speaking in an interview with MUTV after Saturday’s victory over Wigan, Mkhitaryan said: “It doesn’t matter where.
“I think the most important thing is to play to help the team, winning the games – that is the main thing for me.”
