Ander Herrera poses for training ground selfie with two of his Manchester United team-mates

Ander Herrera couldn’t resist snapping a selfie with Juan Mata and Antonio Valencia at Manchester United’s training ground on Monday.
The Spanish midfielder wasn’t involved in Spain’s Euro 2016 campaign after the former Athletic Bilbao midfielder was snubbed by La Roja head coach Vicente del Bosque.
Herrera’s compatriot and United team-mate Mata was also omitted from Spain’s travelling party despite having played a part in their success at the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.
So, unsurprisingly, Herrera and Mata both appeared excited to be returning to football alongside Valencia after an extended break ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Herrera posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“Preseason goes on ⚽️”

Earlier, Ecuador international Valencia posted the selfie alongside another photos from Monday’s training session at Carrington.
Jose Mourinho took over the reins of United in May after Louis van Gaal was sacked despite winning the FA Cup at Wembley.
The former Chelsea manager is the third man to take charge of the 20-time English champions since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
