Ander Herrera is keeping positive despite Manchester United's loss to Borussia Dortmund on Friday

Ander Herrera has refused to be downbeat about Manchester United’s disappointing 4-1 defeat by Borussia Dortmund in their latest pre-season friendly on Friday afternoon.

The Spanish midfielder featured for the Red Devils against the Bundesliga side as United slipped to their first defeat under new manager Jose Mourinho in China.

Herrera and his team-mates have been working hard on their fitness levels in recent weeks as they bid to prove themselves to new boss Mourinho.

And despite the disappointment of the comprehensive defeat on Friday, Herrera appears to be making sure that he stays positive as he continues to improve his physical condition.

Herrera posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Saturday and simply wrote: “We keep getting ready.”

United moved quickly to appoint Mourinho as the club’s new manager back in May after sacking Louis van Gaal at the end of last season.
