Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is happy to be back with the Blues squad
Kurt Zouma is relishing his return to action after the Chelsea defender’s recovery from a lengthy injury lay-off.
The France defender is currently part of Antonio Conte’s squad in Austria as the new Chelsea manager puts his players through their paces ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
The west London side made a disappointing start to their pre-season campaign after Conte’s side suffered a surprise 2-0 defeat by Austrian side Rapid Vienna on Saturday afternoon.
Zouma missed France’s Euro 2016 campaign after the 21-year-old suffered a serious knee injury during a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in February.
The 21-year-old ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and has been sidelined since the Premier League game as Zouma made a full recovery from his injury setback.
And Zouma is relishing the prospect of impressing new manager Conte after the French defender posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“Very happy to travel with the boys 🙏🏿 #CFC”
