Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is ready for business this season

David De Gea is ready for business as the Manchester United squad head to China to continue their pre-season campaign.

The Spain international is fresh from winning back-to-back United player of the year awards after two impressive seasons under Jose Mourinho’s predecessor Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.

De Gea will be looking to prove himself to the new Red Devils boss ahead of the 2016/17 Premier League season which will see United make the trip to Bournemouth in their opening game on 14 August.

The 25-year-old won his second trophy as a United player in May after a 2-1 extra-time victory over Crystal Palace at Wembley but the Red Devils goalkeeper hasn’t won the Premier League title since 2013.

And De Gea was in high spirits as he posed for an Instagram photo alongside Spanish compatriot Juan Mata on the United plane to China.

De Gea wrote: “Back in business! #mutour 🔴🔴”

The Red Devils finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season, missing out on a spot in next term’s Champions League competition.

United have failed to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition in two of their three seasons since Sir Alex Ferguson stood down as manager.
