Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci soaks up the rays with Andrea Barzagli during a break amid transfer speculation
Leonardo Bonucci isn’t letting transfer speculation surrounding his future ruin his holiday as the Italy defender relaxed with his Juventus pal Andrea Barzagli on Tuesday evening.
The Italian centre-half was one of the defensive stars of Euro 2016 after Bonucci helped Antonio Conte’s side reach the last eight of the competition before a penalty shootout defeat by Germany.
The 29-year-old’s performances caught the eye of a number of clubs ahead of the close of the summer transfer window, and perhaps most notably Conte’s current employers Chelsea.
However, the Blues manager has only signed two players in the summer transfer window so far, snapping up Michy Batshuayi in a £34m deal from Marseille followed by a £30m package for N’Golo Kante.
And Bonucci, who has won five successive Serie A titles since his move to Juventus from Bari in 2011, sipped on a drink with Barzagli as the pair soaked up the sunshine in southern Italy.
Bonucci posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote:
“‘Brindisi’, ‘Cheers’, ‘Cin Cin’ … Call it what you want, we there the meanwhile we taste !!! @ andreabarzagli15 #BB # LB19 # AB15 #aperitiviignoranti #brindisi #vacanza”
Chelsea finished in tenth place in the Premier League table last season.
The west London side appointed Conte as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor earlier this year.
