Jesse Lingard has taken to social media to reveal his excitement ahead of the new Premier League season with Manchester United.

The Red Devils forward has already reported back to Carrington to begin his pre-season training regime under new manager Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho has been taking charge of his first training sessions at the club’s AON complex as he gears up for his first campaign at Old Trafford.

And Lingard looks to be happy with how life under Mourinho is unfolding since the Portuguese coach’s appointment as the club’s new manager back in May.

Lingard shared the photo above on his personal Instagram account on Thursday of him in the Carrington dressing room with his new boots and wrote: “New Season. New Boots. Lets Go! @adidasuk #firstneverfollows #x16”

Mourinho has been picked as the right man to steer United back to the top of English football after their disappointing fifth-placed finish under Louis van Gaal last season.

Mourinho was appointed just days after Van Gaal led United to FA Cup glory in his final game in charge.
