Morgan Schneiderlin is thrilled to be back at Manchester United

Morgan Schneiderlin has taken to social media to reveal his delight at being back in training at Manchester United under new manager Jose Mourinho.

The France midfielder was given an extended summer holiday by his club following his involvement in Euro 2016 on home soil.

However, the midfielder reported back to Carrington for pre-season training this week and took part in his first session under new boss Mourinho on Thursday as he begins his preparations for the new season.

Schneiderlin will be eager to impress United’s new manager as he looks to win a regular starting spot in the Portuguese coach’s side at Old Trafford next season.

The midfielder posted the picture above from United’s latest training session on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Great to be back training with the team after a short break ! #manunited”

United moved quickly to appoint Mourinho as the club’s new manager following their disappointing fifth-placed finish in the Premier League last season under Louis van Gaal.

The Red Devils also won the FA Cup before sacking the Dutchman.
