Michy Batshuayi takes to Instagram after first Chelsea training session under Antonio Conte's watchful eye
Michy Batshuayi has expressed his delight to finally be training under new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
The Belgium international moved to Stamford Bridge in a £34m deal from Ligue 1 side Marseille earlier this month.
However, the 22-year-old centre-forward has been patiently waiting to link up with the Blues as he enjoyed some downtime after Belgium’s Euro 2016 campaign came to its conclusion.
Chelsea conspired to lose their first pre-season fixture under Conte’s charge on Saturday after a surprise 2-0 defeat by Austrian side Rapid Vienna in Austria.
So the Belgian’s arrival at Chelsea’s training camp in the European country will be a welcome sight for Blues supporters ahead of their next warm-up game.
Batshuayi posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“First training with @chelseafcand Il Mister today … great feeling to be Blue ❤🔵 #CFC”
The Chelsea signing made just one appearance at Euro 2016 after coming off the bench during Belgium’s 3-1 defeat by Wales.
The west London side finished in tenth place in the Premier League last term.
