Michy Batshuayi sent a message to the Chelsea supporters via his Instagram page ahead of his first training session under new manager Antonio Conte.

The Belgium international was the new Chelsea boss’s first summer signing after Conte was appointed as Jose Mourinho’s permanent successor earlier this year.

The west London side coughed up a £34m fee for the Belgium international in what was a big-money deal to sign the striker from Ligue 1 side Marseille.

Conte, who took over the reins at Stamford Bridge following the end of Italy’s Euro 2016 campaign earlier this month, saw his side lose 2-0 to Rapid Vienna in their first pre-season friendly in Austria on Saturday.

The former l’OM forward, who was part of Belgium’s Euro 2016 squad, took to his Instagram account to express his excitement ahead of his inaugural training session as a Chelsea player.

Batshuayi wrote on the photo-sharing app:

“Last night before my first training with the team tomorrow .. cant wait !!! 😛 Good night y’all 😋💤 #CFC”

Conte completed his second summer signing on Saturday after the 2015 Premier League champions signed France international N’Golo Kante in a £30m deal from current top-flight holders Leicester City.

The Blues will start the new Premier League campaign with a clash against bitter London rivals West Ham United.
