Michy Batshuayi underlines his ambition with Instagram post after Chelsea transfer

Michy Batshuayi has revealed that his big motivation is to be “first” with new club Chelsea after completing his transfer from Marseille.

The Belgium international sealed his much-anticipated move to Stamford Bridge on Sunday after days of intense speculation linking the forward with a move to the 2015 Premier League champions.

The 22-year-old, who is reported to have cost the west London side in the region of £33m, put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Chelsea as the Belgian striker became the first signing of the Antonio Conte era.

Batshuayi, who was previously linked with Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, scored 17 times in 36 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille in the 2015/16 campaign.

And the new Chelsea signing stated his motivation upon completing his summer move to Stamford Bridge via his Instagram page.

Batshuayi posted the above post on the photo-sharing app and wrote the following caption: “My motivation is to be First with @ChelseaFC #FirstNeverFollows #CFC #X16”
