Marko Grujic is loving life as a Red
Marko Grujic appears to be enjoying life as a Liverpool player after Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town.
The Serbia international, who has been handed the number 16 shirt following in the footsteps for Dietmar Hamann, has enjoyed a whirlwind start to his Reds career so far after the playmaker linked up with the Liverpool squad earlier this month.
Grujic, who agreed a deal to join the 18-time English champions in January before returning to Red Star Belgrade on loan for the remainder of the season, scored inside 18 minutes of his first Liverpool appearance in a 5-0 victory over Fleetwood Town earlier this month.
And the 20-year-old made it two goals in two pre-season friendlies after Grujic opened the scoring in Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.
Unsurprisingly, the new signing is now looking forward to the Merseyside outfit’s trip to USA for their friendlies against Chelsea and AC Milan in the International Champions Cup.
Grujic posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote:
“Another great victory before the trip to USA✈️ What a nice feeling to play with these guys 🙏🔴🙌”
Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League last term.
