Loris Karius looks like he has been enjoying his first few days as a Liverpool player, if his latest post on Instagram is anything to go by.
The goalkeeper has been getting used to his new surroundings at Melwood as Jurgen Klopp’s side reported back to the club’s training ground at the weekend to begin their preparations for the new campaign.
Karius signed for the Reds from German side Mainz earlier in the summer and has already been handed the number one shirt at Anfield as he looks to compete with Simon Mignolet for a starting spot.
The shot-stopper posted the picture above of himself in training on Tuesday on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Good mood in today’s training session at Melwood #Smile #LFC #LK1 @liverpoolfc”
Klopp is preparing for his first full season in charge at Anfield after his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor back in October.
It remains to be seen whether he will bring in any more new players during the summer transfer window.
The Reds finished eighth in the Premier League last season and were losing finalists in the Europa League.
