Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius appears to be getting on well with Sadio Mane
Loris Karius and Sadio Mane look to be getting along well after the pair completed their respective moves to Liverpool earlier this summer.
The Germany Under-21 goalkeeper was a £4.7m signing from Bundesliga side Mainz in May as Jurgen Klopp provided current first-choice goalkeeper Simon Mignolet with much-needed competition ahead of the new season.
The Liverpool manager wrapped up a deal for Senegal international Mane earlier this month after the Reds agreed a £30m fee with Premier League rivals Southampton for the African forward.
The new Reds signings have been put through their paces by Klopp this week after a 1-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers in their first pre-season friendly at the weekend.
And Karius, who previously played for Manchester City’s youth side, shared a photo on his Instagram page which highlighted the growing friendship between Karius and Mane.
The Liverpool number one wrote the following caption for his Instagram snap:
“Funny moments with Sadio Mane in training earlier today…😁😄 #LK1 #LFC @liverpoolfc”
Klopp has also added Schalke and Cameroon defender Joel Matip and Serbian youngster Marko Grujic to his squad in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool finished in eighth place in the Premier League table last season after losing to Manchester City and Sevilla in two cup finals.
