Eric Bailly is feeling good about the start of his Manchester United career
Eric Bailly says there are good vibes at Manchester United after Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic at DW Stadium.
The Ivory Coast international started alongside his fellow summer signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan against the Latics as Mourinho took charge of his first United fixture.
Bailly moved to the 20-time English champions in a £30m deal from La Liga side Villarreal earlier in the summer as Mourinho bolstered his defensive options at Old Trafford.
The defender will be tasked with helping the Red Devils finish higher than fifth this season and secure a return to Europe’s premier club competition under Mourinho.
The 22-year-old posted the above photo of his debut on his Instagram page as the Ivorian centre-half reflected on a positive start to his Red Devils career.
Bailly wrote on the photo-sharing app: “First game. 🔴 Good vibes! 😄”
Will Keane and Andreas Pereira scored United’s goals in a 2-0 victory over Wigan in their opening pre-season fixture.
The Red Devils will start the 2016/17 Premier League campaign with an away trip to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side.
United will first take on Leicester City in the Community Shield on August 7.
