Henrikh Mkhitaryan is looking forward to Man United v Borussia Dortmund on Friday

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has taken to social media to reveal his excitement ahead of Manchester United’s friendly clash with Borussia Dortmund on Friday.

Jose Mourinho’s men are currently in China and gearing up to take on the Bundesliga side in their second pre-season game under their new manager.

Mkhitaryan signed for the Red Devils earlier this month from Borussia Dortmund as he became the club’s third signing of the summer transfer window.

Now, fate has handed him a match-up against his former employers less than a month into his Manchester United career.

Nevertheless, the 27-year-old playmaker is clearly looking forward to coming up against his old club later this week.

Mkhitaryan posted the picture above from a Manchester United training session on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Looking forward to the upcoming game vs Borussia Dortmund. Will be great to see so many familiar faces in Shanghai! #MUTOUR.”

United finished fifth in the Premier League last season and won the FA Cup under Louis van Gaal, before they moved quickly to appoint Mourinho as the club’s new manager back in May.
