Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rules out a move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has ruled out the prospect of the striker leaving Borussia Dortmund for Real Madrid – or any other club this summer.
The Gabon international blossomed into one of Europe’s most-sought after strikers last season after an incredible return of 39 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions.
The 27-year-old was touted as a potential option for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger this summer summer as the Gunners looked to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are also rumoured to be interested as the former Bayern Munich manager looked to potentially prise the centre-forward away from the Bundesliga runners-up.
However, Aubameyang has hit out at the transfer speculation surrounding his future, particularly a report that quoted the Dortmund striker as eyeing a move to Real Madrid.
Aubameyang posted the below photo on his Instagram page in a direct response to the transfer gossip.
The attacker netted 25 times in 29 Bundesliga games for Dortmund last season.
The Gabon forward has scored 80 goals in 140 appearances in all competitions for the 2011 and 2012 Bundesliga champions.
