Paul Pogba is in a reflective mood after France's Euro 2016 disappointment at the hands of Portugal
Paul Pogba has taken to social media to insist that he will keep fighting to improve every day after the disappointment of France’s Euro 2016 final defeat at the hands of Portugal.
The midfielder was unable to prevent the hosts from slipping to a 1-0 extra-time defeat as Portugal claimed victory over Didier Deschamps’ men in the final.
Pogba’s future has been a relentless source of speculation throughout the summer transfer window this far, with Manchester United thought to be keen on luring the midfielder back to Old Trafford.
However, the France international was clearly focusing on the aftermath of his nations’ Euro 2016 disappointment as he took to Instagram to deliver a heartfelt message to his followers.
Pogba posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “I am very sad for losing the finals and for the fans.
“We learn more from our defeats then from our victories and we go away with our heads high.
“We fought all we could and we won the hearts of our supporters. My desire to win only grows stronger and I will continue to fight to improve every day. @equipedefrance #fiersdetrebleus”
Manchester United are currently gearing up for life under new manager Jose Mourinho after he was appointed as the club’s boss on a three-year contract back in may.
The Red Devils finished fifth and won the FA Cup under Louis van Gaal last term.
